The belts, sash, vest, baldric, and musket are not done yet, but this is the general theme. I have discovered one useful piece of info - sometimes it is better to prime in black (these were primed with a light grey primer - Reaper Master Series Brush-on Primer) !

I just ordered the first book yesterday, so I don't know the answer . . . do the H-C troops use "hat tape"?
If so, during the first "War of the Grand Alliance" (in the decade before the WSS/GNW) some of the Dutch troops in particular used hat tape of colors other than white and yellow. Red, for example, was used by a number of regiments . . . and I believe I recall a green. Anyway it might be another way to differentiate your units if you want to use it.

Yes, hat tape and other sorts of trim can and will be used.
